    1. Acceptance of Terms

    By accessing or using Kernio AI ("Service"), operated at kernioai.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

    2. Description of Service

    Kernio AI is an AI-powered content creation platform that helps users turn their expertise into publishable content. The Service includes AI-assisted writing tools, a knowledge base, book and post editors, and content generation features.

    3. Accounts

    • You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.
    • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
    • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
    • You must provide accurate and complete registration information.
    • One person or entity may not maintain more than one free account.

    4. Subscriptions & Payments

    4.1 Plans

    The Service offers Free, Starter, and Pro subscription tiers with different AI credit allowances and feature access. Plan details and pricing are listed on our Pricing page.

    4.2 Billing

    Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, our Merchant of Record. By subscribing, you authorize Lemon Squeezy to charge your payment method on a recurring basis (monthly or annually). All prices are in USD unless regional pricing applies.

    4.3 AI Credits

    Each plan includes a monthly AI credit allowance that resets at the start of each billing period. Unused subscription credits do not roll over. Additional credits can be purchased as one-time top-ups, which expire 6 months after purchase.

    4.4 Cancellation & Refunds

    You may cancel your subscription at any time through the billing settings or the Lemon Squeezy customer portal. Upon cancellation, you retain access to paid features until the end of your current billing period.

    No Refund Policy: All subscription purchases and top-up credit purchases are final and non-refundable. By subscribing or purchasing credits, you acknowledge and agree that you will not be entitled to a refund under any circumstances, including but not limited to subscription cancellations or unused credits.

    5. Content Ownership

    5.1 Your Content

    You retain full ownership of all content you create, upload, or generate using the Service, including books, posts, work logs, and source materials. We do not claim any intellectual property rights over your content.

    5.2 License to Us

    You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process, store, and transmit your content solely to provide the Service to you (e.g., sending content to AI providers for processing, storing it in our database).

    5.3 AI-Generated Content

    Content generated by AI features is provided "as-is." You are responsible for reviewing, editing, and verifying all AI-generated content before publishing or distributing it. AI outputs may contain errors, inaccuracies, or unintended content.

    6. Acceptable Use

    You agree not to use the Service to:

    • Generate content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable.
    • Violate any applicable laws or regulations.
    • Infringe on the intellectual property rights of others.
    • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems.
    • Use automated means (bots, scrapers) to access the Service beyond the provided API.
    • Circumvent AI credit limits or abuse the free tier.
    • Resell or redistribute the Service without authorization.

    7. AI Services

    The Service uses third-party AI providers (including OpenAI and Anthropic) to power content generation features. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of AI-generated content. AI features are subject to the availability and terms of our third-party providers, and may change without notice.

    8. Service Availability

    We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance, updates, or modifications that temporarily affect availability. We are not liable for any downtime or service interruptions.

    9. Limitation of Liability

    To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kernio AI shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or content, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

    10. Disclaimer of Warranties

    The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

    11. Termination

    We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We will make your content available for export for 30 days following termination, after which it may be deleted.

    12. Changes to Terms

    We may modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of material changes via email or a prominent notice on the Service. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

    13. Governing Law

    These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation first, and if unresolved, through binding arbitration or the courts of competent jurisdiction.
